Objectives and Activities

Center for Budgetary Governance Advocacy has the following non-profit objectives:

To assist and advocate for the prevalence of transparent, participatory, decentralized and robust budgetary governance throughout government bodies and civil society organizations

To advocate for government’s developmental goal alignment towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to conduct research in the area of budgetary governance and localization of SDGs;

To work for the establishment of better trust and cooperation between the people and the government

To provide trainings on budgetary governance, goal alignment towards SDGs and the role of the general public and civil societies to legislators and civil servants at different levels and to engage in dialogue and advocacy work on the issue of budgetary governance and achievement of SDGs with government bodies (legislators, administrative authorities, regulators, judiciary body, etc.)

To engage in capacity building activities in order to increase public participation in development planning and budgeting activities at the local government level

To engage and/or empower and mentor local CSOs to engage in budget monitoring and expenditure tracking activities and directly participate in those activities when it is deemed necessary

To analyze and synthesize research reports and/or publications on the issues of budgetary governance and localization of SDGs and make the findings available in coordination with the government and experts on the area

To assist educational curriculum developers and educational institutions in equipping students with knowledge, skill and attitude in the area of budgetary governance
